Is it time to get serious about New Year's resolutions?
Every year, New Years' resolutions are casually thrown around on the first of the year. For some, those resolutions are to lose weight and exercise more, for others it could be to spend more time with the family, get more sleep or slow down and enjoy this life we have been given. Have you found yourself saying things at the beginning of each year like, "I want next year to be better" or "I want to be better in my career and personal life."
It is our opinion that in order to be successful in our personal lives, we need to have a happy work environment that should include processes and software to make our lives better and more enjoyable.

Many in the Community Gathered at Spud for Lucky Day's Christmas Extravaganza!
Community members swarmed Spud Software to check out small business vendors, a silent auction and adoptable cats at Lucky Day Animal Rescue's (LDAR) event, Happy Paw-lidays Christmas extravaganza. Gretchen Sommer, owner of LDAR explains that Lucky Day hosts such an outstanding event for the community because, "I love Christmas and I just love the holidays so we just really wanted to do something to bring everyone together."
The main attraction was the one-eyed cutie, Kidd Rock (pictured above), but he was not the only star in the room as many were adopted by adoring families. In fact, "We adopted out every cat we brought!" Sommer exclaims.
There were many animals featured on a fun display of crafted pictures showing many of the animals that reside at the LDAR farm.
Generosity and Christmas spirit all wrapped in a perfect display, as the silent auction table had numerous options to choose from..
The fun continued as participants cruised the vendor tables for unique gift ideas for their pets or the whole family.
The Paw-lidays event was a huge success as Lucky Day Animal Rescue raised over $2,200 and received a truck full of donations. "It was great to see so many stop in to support our rescue as well as all the small businesses that were vendors," said Gretchen Sommer.
Spud Software was proud to host this great event! If you were able to make it out to support Lucky Day Animal Rescue last weekend, we hope you enjoyed the event.
Merry Christmas and Happy Paw-lidays!
Family, fun and lots of time with Santa Claus.
It was a magical and fun-filled night at Spud Software on Friday, November 30th as family and friends crowded Spud Software for our annual Christmas party. The night was buzzing with over 175 Spud employees, clients and their families who came together for a lively evening that included food, games, and a visit from the Jolly Ol' Saint Nick.
The night commenced with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails provided by Brick Street Bar and Grille. With a full belly and plenty of drinks to go around, the guests found their way to the casino tables where we had professional dealers on hand including Craps, Roulette, Blackjack and Poker. Celebrants tried their luck as they spent the evening with big wins and even some losses.
Everyone was given an envelope filled with play money to use at the gaming tables. The person with the biggest winnings at the end of the night was awarded a trophy.
Teresa Ostby was the lucky winner who received the trophy as she pooled her big winnings for the night.
The children were set up with crafts and a movie, while the big kids played in our casino. There were stations for the children to decorate Christmas cookies, make ornaments, draw pictures and make party bags. We also set up one of our conference rooms with a showing of Polar Express. But the main attraction of the evening was, of course, a visit from Santa Claus himself!
Children lined up to sit on Santa's lap and he gave each one a present as we took pictures. Families got an instant print complete with a decorative border. And we only had a couple tears this year!
Santa even made his way around the casino to see what the big kids have on their list...
The night ended with plenty of smiles and laughs to go around.
Everyone joined in on the fun and had an amazing time, making this one of Spud's best parties to date. We'd like to thank all of the guests who joined us, and for those of you who couldn't make it, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
From all of us at Spud Software,
we wish you a very Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year!
